How cute!

That is what I kept saying as I took pictures of little baby Yuta last weekend. Little Yuta and his family are so cute! I was so honored to take some photographs for them. Here are my favorites!

While little Yuta was asleep, we took this image that would be perfect for a holiday card:

Summer’s End

It’s been a long time since my last post, and it’s been a busy summer. After Christi’s shower, I hurt my back, so I haven’t been doing much. I moved houses; I now live with David and our four cats (!). By moving day, I was in pain and not much help, but luckily David helped every step of the way. What would I do without him!

Between that, planning the wedding, and starting a new school year with my students, nothing’s happened except the occasional photograph. Here are a few favorites:

And getting splashed…

I did a lot of packing, and we decided to keep my dishes.

I gave some things to my little cousin Lanette, who has a new apartment.

Then, it was David’s birthday. His sister sent him a bouquet… of fruit! I’ve always been skeptical of these things, but it was pretty good.

I gave him a wallet.

It replaced his old one.

My cat had trouble adjusting to the move (she’s all right now).

We got our first engagement present! It’s beautifully wrapped.

It’s been a quiet and busy summer. I believe we’re caught up now!

Austin Family Portraits

This weekend I spent some time with the lovely Austin family, and shot some Christmas card portraits! We included everyone, even the dog! For a full gallery, click here. Here are some of my favorites.

We started out in the Austins’ home to shoot some portraits by the tree. It took a few minutes to get the dog to sit for a portrait, and here he has calmed down a bit:

Then, we went to the park for some playful candids.

The dog got excited and started running after some ducks. David had to wrangle him:

And what a cute & photogenic baby!

To the Austin family: Thanks for inviting us into your home! Merry Christmas, and I hope you enjoy your portraits!

Sunny California, pt. 2

Well, I’m still visiting my mom here in California. We had a pool party the other day. Here’s everyone in the pool. It looks like a water ballet.

My nephew is super-cute and hilarious! Here he is trying to put on a helmet.

My mom is so creative–she just turned his skateboard helmet backwards to protect his head for a quick “game” of football:

And now it’s time to rest.

I couldn’t resist a window portrait with all the great window light in Mom’s house!

Stay tuned–from San Francisco I fly to Cincinnati to visit my best friend!
