My fiancé (who’s also my photographic assistant) asked me about the importance of baby showers. I was trying to convey to him how special these events are; how they commemorate the arrival of a baby, the sense of happy anticipation, the bonding between women & their unique shared experience.
All of these sentiments were in abundance at Christi’s baby shower last weekend. The event was held at Abuelo’s and was coordinated by Christi’s friend (and event planner) Tricia Brock. All the proofs are available here, but below are some highlights.

One of my favorite parts of shooting events are the departures. It’s so nice to see people’s unrestrained emotions as they say goodbye and offer their well wishes.
