Julia’s Christening

Eri’s little daughter Julia was christened in a beautiful ceremony this week, and I brought my new lens (a Nikkor 85mm f/1.4D) to help commemorate the occasion.

I say this all the time, but Eri is really a lovely new mom!

Poor Julia cried during the entire christening!

Michael tries to comfort her:

This little one was the only baby in attendance (out of 5) who didn’t cry! She just paid rapt attention:

Becky & Daniel

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing my good friend Becky and her partner Daniel. Besides being an incredibly photogenic couple, they were also very loving and sweet with each other, which made them so easy to photograph!

Becky & David had their portraits done in the business district of Las Colinas (Irving, Texas). We were lucky enough to have relatively warm weather, soft light from cloudy skies, and we even got the sun to come out for just a few minutes. :)

Some highlights:

What a beautiful couple! Thanks to Becky & Daniel for allowing me to photograph you, and special thanks to my boyfriend David for being such a great assistant!

Austin Family Portraits

This weekend I spent some time with the lovely Austin family, and shot some Christmas card portraits! We included everyone, even the dog! For a full gallery, click here. Here are some of my favorites.

We started out in the Austins’ home to shoot some portraits by the tree. It took a few minutes to get the dog to sit for a portrait, and here he has calmed down a bit:

Then, we went to the park for some playful candids.

The dog got excited and started running after some ducks. David had to wrangle him:

Here, the sisters share a playful moment:

And what a cute & photogenic baby!

To the Austin family: Thanks for inviting us into your home! Merry Christmas, and I hope you enjoy your portraits!
